Hey friends — I’m SO excited to share that the Work & Worship Podcast is officially BACK!
This episode has been a looooong time coming. If you missed the last update back in May, where I shared why I paused the podcast, you can listen to that episode here to catch up on the full backstory. But today’s episode is a mix of life updates, business pivots, and vision casting as I look ahead to 2026.
Why I Paused the Podcast (and What I Learned)
Honestly, deciding to pause the podcast was HARD — not just logistically, but emotionally. I love podcasting. I love connecting with you (even if it’s one-sided for the most part). But when God prompted me to scale back and simplify my business, I knew the podcast made the most sense for how to be obedient in that.
In my mind, it made sense: we were moving, I’d have little-to-know work hours over the summer, etc. And while I was really grateful for the the extra capacity that I got with pausing the podcast, what I couldn’t see at the time was how God was using that act of obedience to refine me, clarify my priorities, and simplify my business from the inside out.
My main lesson here was that God’s way & timing is ALWAYS better.
Life Update: We Bought a Fixer-Upper (and it needed WAY more fixing up 😅)
Sooo in GREAT news (especially after moving every year for the past 4 years…), we bought a home! It’s been really exciting – and also kind of wild.
It’s a bit of a fixer upper, which I thought sounded fun — I had so many dreamy “Fixer Upper” reels saved on Instagram — but turns out the reality is a lot harder, especially when we’re both running businesses with limited childcare.
And when I say fixer upper I’m not just talking paint & decor. I mean, we’re talking no flooring in some rooms, washer and dryer on separate floors, moving gas lines, renovating in the margins of the margins… all while running businesses and homeschooling.
We lived with family 20 minutes away for a couple months while we made it livable. And honestly, the decision fatigue was real. So many choices about paint and carpet and systems — way more than I expected!
But through it all, God is still teaching me about contentment — not in a perfectly curated home, but right here in the in-between.
A Sweet Gift: A Month Back in Colorado
At the end of the summer, we spent another month back in Colorado, which has become SUCH a gift for our family.
If you don’t know, we used to live there a few years ago, and now we go back each year for a month. That time away reminded me why building a life-first business matters so much to me.
We got to bring our work and homeschool with us, and just do everyday life in a place we love. It reminded me that it’s not about hustle or “flexibility” on paper — it’s about building a business that actually supports the kind of life you want to live.
What’s Changed in My Business This Year
OK so time to chat business!
This summer, I had almost no childcare and very little working time, about 10ish hours a week. That forced me to simplify everything down to:
- One core offer
- One core funnel
- One core platform
And I’m honestly SO glad I did! Because that decision has brought me so much margin, more peace, and has just felt like really good stewardship.
I launched a live beta round of my Your First Funnel program — which was originally going to be self-paced — and I ended up loving the live coaching piece more than I expected.
So now I’ve decided to bring back a few live cohorts in 2026 — including one in January!

Hosting the The Rooted Retreat
Okay another REALLY fun & sweet business update: I’m co-hosting the Rooted Retreat with my friend KyAnn in January!
It is so aligned with everything this podcast and my business is about, and it has honestly been such a sweet way to bring back the retreat side of my business that I’ve missed for years.
I used to host retreats back in 2019 (my first when I was 32 weeks pregnant 😅), and now after three babies and multiple moves, it feels like the right time to come back to this kind of in-person connection.

Daily Kairos: We Launched 2 New Products!

Over at Daily Kairos, we finally launched TWO new products this year!
The one that feels closest to my heart is our new Sunday Sermon Journal. It’s something I’ve wanted to create for years, and I’m just so grateful to see it finally come to life!
So if you’re looking for meaningful gifts for the new year (or yourself), definitely go check out:
Looking Ahead: My Word for 2026
If I had to sum up my focus for 2026 in one word?
Stewardship.
(Simplification is a close second!)
Here’s what that looks like for me right now:
- Less time on social (I’ve been loving my BRICK, which locks me out of distracting apps)
- Spending more time on Threads — it reminds me of old-school Twitter and I love it
- And most importantly: YouTube is becoming my main content platform
Why YouTube? Because I want to create deeper, longer-form content that serves you really well — and then repurpose it to email, blog posts, short clips, etc.
So if you’ve loved this podcast, I’d love for you to subscribe to my YouTube channel — it’s going to be the best place to learn with me moving forward.
What About the Podcast?
Yes, the podcast is officially back, but it’s gonna look a little different:
- You can still listen to new episodes on your favorite podcast app
- The content focus will be YouTube first, with audio going onto the podcast (but the full experience will be on YouTube!)
- There will still be some podcast-only episodes!
But the heart of how I show up? That’s the same. I just want to create intentional content that serves you well — not just churn things out to stay consistent on every platform.
So if you’re in a season where you’re feeling pulled to scale back, simplify, or focus — take this as your permission slip.
A Little Challenge for You
As we go into the new year, let me leave you with this: If you had to choose just ONE offer, ONE funnel, and ONE platform to focus on in 2026… what would that be?
I’d love to hear! Come hang with me on Threads or shoot me a DM on Instagram. If I’ve Bricked myself out, it might take me a few days to respond :)!
