Creating Your Digital Offer

By now, you’re *hopefully* convinced that a digital product or offer could be a great opportunity for you. But you ALSO may wondering how to figure out what you want to create…

With so many possibilities, it can be overwhelming.

Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Today, we’re walking through 5 different digital offer ideas, along with practical examples to help you get started.

1. Ebook

The first type of digital product you could create is an ebook. This offer is incredibly simple and quick to set up, making it one of the easiest options to get started with!

You can use free tools like Canva to create and design a visually pleasing ebook. Simply draft up some original content, add photos or choose from the free ones available on Canva, and plug it into one of their templates.

Ebooks are generally lower-priced products, which makes them easier to sell and test or pivot if needed.

Here are a few ebook ideas to spark some inspiration:

  • Wedding Planner’s Guide: Share your expertise by creating a guide on how to plan a wedding, whether it’s on a budget, a destination wedding, or something else specific to your niche (try to get specific to a need and a need here, like “The Ultimate Destination Elopement Guide to the Rocky Mountains!”)
  • Healthy Meal Planning for Kids: Help parents encourage their children to eat healthier meals with weekly recipes, grocery lists, and tips on what to prioritize in a toddler’s diet.
  • How to Build Your Own Raised Garden Beds: Provide DIY enthusiasts with detailed plans for building their own raised garden beds, including tips on getting started and easy-to-maintain plants.

2. Spreadsheet or Planner

Similar to an ebook, a spreadsheet or planner is another digital offer that is usually pretty quick to set up. You can use tools like Canva or Excel to create user-friendly templates or spreadsheets, depending on the nature of the content and how your audience would want to use it.

Here are a couple of examples:

  • Goal Tracker: Design a printable or online tracker for individuals to track their progress and stay motivated.
  • Family Trip Budget Planner: Create a budgeting tool specifically for planning family trips, with sections for considerations unique to traveling with toddlers or specific destinations (ex: “Budgeting for a Family Trip to Disney”)

3. Templates

Templates are plug-and-play solutions that offer convenience and save time for your customers. Consider creating templates for various purposes, such as:

  • Contract Templates: Provide ready-to-use contract templates for different industries or services, or share a template like your Proposal template or Invoice template
  • Email Templates: Offer a set of plug-and-play email templates that business owners can customize and use for nurturing their email lists and effectively selling their products or services (ex: this is what I do with my Serve & Sell Nurture Sequence Templates!)
  • Printable Designs: Create graphic templates for greeting cards, art prints, or party invitations that customers can personalize and print themselves.

4. Graphics

Graphics are digital assets that can be used online or even downloaded and printed. They can range from social media templates to printable designs.

Here are a few graphic-based digital offer ideas:

  • Social Media Graphics Package: Offer a collection of visually appealing templates that individuals or businesses can use to create engaging social media posts.
  • Printable Artwork: Design downloadable prints that customers can print and frame to decorate their homes affordably and stylishly.

5. Training or Masterclass

Transform your expertise into a comprehensive training or masterclass that individuals can take at their own pace. This allows you to serve multiple customers simultaneously and scale your revenue.

Consider these ideas:

  • Natural Birth Preparation Masterclass: If you’re a midwife or doula, create an online class that guides expectant parents through breathing exercises, tips, and strategies for a natural birth.
  • Financial Planning 101: Teach others how to start investing or save for retirement through a comprehensive online training that covers the fundamentals.
